Selon des sources proches de la CAF, l’arbitre international tunisien Sadok Selmi a été sanctionné pour une période de 3 mois, et ce, suite à sa prestation douteuse au cours du match qui a opposé la Mauritanie à la République Démocratique du Congo (RDC), comptant pour la J4 des éliminatoires de la CAN Côte d’Ivoire 2023.
Désirant bel et bien remettre de l’ordre dans ce secteur d’arbitrage qui ne cesse de ternir l’image du sport roi en Afrique depuis une belle lurette, cette décision a été soutenue par certains membres influents comme le marocain Fouzi Lekjaa et le mauritanien Ahmed Ould Yahya.
Coupable d’avoir lésé la sélection congolaise, l’Homme en noir tunisien a été décrié sur les réseaux sociaux pour son manque de partialité et sa mauvaise foi manifeste.
