Les deux cartes présentent la présence militaire française au Sahel avant et après les coups d'Etat
Il s'agit notamment de l'accord du 19 février 1977 sur la coopération militaire technique,
de celui du 25 mai 2013 relatif au régime juridique de l'intervention française au Niger pour la sécurité au Sahel,
de celui du 19 juillet 2013 sur le statut des militaires français présents au Niger dans le cadre de l'intervention française pour la sécurité au Sahel,
ainsi que de l'arrangement technique du 2 janvier 2015 relatif au stationnement et aux activités du détachement inter-armée français sur le territoire du Niger.
